Spotted from one of Vasco Da Gama ships, in 1467, was the last original cow shield surfer from the blue shores of KwaZulu. It was an enlightening moment for everyone in the ship as they all watched the wave give way to the Zulu. Vasco Da Gama was amazed by this and could only stand there and wave to the Zulu.
